The Ashley School library is a vibrant and engaging learning environment. Interactive displays celebrate the twice weekly Library Club, where pupils read for pleasure, learn about different authors and vote in the annual Kate Greenaway competition.
World Book day displays celebrate reading activities that have occurred in the school.
The exciting and current stock is regularly updated and pupils have the opportunity to choose their own personal favourites. Audio and big books can also be borrowed.
In March 2014 the library system has had a major revamp and the new Junior Librarian system has now been introduced.
This will enable pupils to view e-books, write reviews, research authors & genres and give suggestions for further reading.
